I forget who I made this for, but it was just another experiment.

And this was Luke's bear....each of the kids got their own teddy bear, along with a number of other things. I made cows and chipmunks and raccoons and you-name-it. Their walls were getting a little crowded, that's for sure.

And, of course, I had to add to Lori's snowman collection....
...and of course, Timmy's raccoon.

This was the first of the hundred or so I've managed to create over the last 7 or 8 years.

I have approximately 35 to 40 hours invested in each and every humidor you see here. Most of the labor involved consists of the finishing......each is given 12 to 15 coats of clear Polyurethane and hand buffed between coats, then re-applied again the next day. Finally, after the last buffing, they are rubbed out with pumise and then again with rottenstone....then waxed and buffed to a sheen that defies description. They do become slippery at that point, I must admit. But they feel like nothing else in the world.

All right, time for a commercial. This website is approximately three weeks old as of this writing, and already six different people have asked me if I would make something for them and how much would it cost and etc, etc, etc. I have agreed to make three or four chessboards at this point, so why not make a few more. If any of you would like something that is unique and different, let me know. Just click on the link below and tell me what piece you like and I'll give you the particulars. As a general rule of thumb, I can make you a chessboard for approximately $100.00 (add $15.00 if you would like the chess pieces with it) and a humidor from $300.00 to $750.00, depending on what wood you prefer and how much time is invested. (Price humidors in a Cigar Store and you'll find that even mass produced humdrum little boxes can sell for as much as $1200.00, so owning a one-of-a-kind Phil Hunt original is well worth it. Plus, just to drive up their value, I plan to cut off my ear just before I die, so hang on to it and hold out for top dollar. Don't let the museums pressure you!!
I'll find out what the shipping amounts to for you and let you know.
